In the winter of 1981 Grace Presbyterian Church was formed with Rev. Paul Snider serving as senior pastor. The church affiliated with the Presbyterian Church in America that spring and became Grace Presbyterian Church. After Rev. Snider retired in 2001, Rev. Ian Sears came from a church across town to become senior pastor. The church’s current property is on Edmondson Pike in the Nippers Corner area of Nashville, which serves and bridges Nashville, Brentwood, and Antioch communities. We are excited to be a part of this strategic and growing part of Nashville.
Grace Presbyterian Church exists to be a safe place where we as broken people receive and share the healing grace of God through the finished work of Christ.
Our mission is to progress toward maturity in the life of faith as a…
Gathering Community—celebrating grace together in worship, proclamation, and the communion of the saints.
Growing Community—transformed by grace through the ministry of the word and life-on-life discipleship.
Going Community—extending grace through outreach and evangelism to the community and families in and around the Edmondson/Nippers Corner area.
Groaning Community—longing with living hope, delighting in the present realities of God’s grace even as we groan (long) for the fullness and beauty of the Kingdom which is to come.
We are a local congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America who are
• passionately committed to biblical truth
• amazingly grace-centered in proclamation and purpose
• intensely relational in the quest for authentic community
• intentionally covenantal in ministry and outreach
• faithfully engaging culture in the marketplace of ideas
